PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a lens position properly.

SOLUTION: A movement instruction information calculation unit 310 provides a driving instruction of a lens to a focus adjustment element for driving the lens in a specific direction. An estimated lens position information update unit 320 estimates a position of the lens after driving by the driving instruction in the specific direction based on the driving instruction provided to the focus adjustment element and error information about an error with respect to the driving amount of the lens by the focus adjustment element. A mechanical end movement instruction information calculation unit 330 provides a driving instruction based on an estimated predetermined range and the error information when driving the lens to one of two ends in a drive range of the lens.
