<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved and simplified manifold connection to a stator housing of an electric machine. <P>SOLUTION: A stator housing segment 101 including a cooling channel 104 is provided, and the cooling channel 104 has an opening on an axial front surface 112 of the stator housing segment 101. A plate 102 attached to the axial front surface 112 is provided for reinforcing the stator housing segment 101, and a supply system 108 for supplying a cooling fluid to the cooling channel 104 is provided. A manifold segment 103 is welded to the plate 102 to form a guide channel 107 for the cooling fluid between the manifold segment 103 and the plate 102.
