<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing a fired shell capable of generating carbon radicals. <P>SOLUTION: The shell of a scallop is crushed to obtain a shell crushed product. Thereafter, the shell crushed product is subjected to firing (single firing) at a holding temperature of 580 to 620°C in a nonoxidizing atmosphere. The fired shell crushed product, which is obtained thereby, contains organic components by ≥1.5 wt.%, and carbon radicals are continuously generated as a result of the remaining organic components. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
