<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple mechanism space-saving cardboard box reversal device that can be installed on the way of a linear transport line and can obtain high treatment capability with a cardboard box reversed while being transported as it remains upside down. <P>SOLUTION: The rotary drum 7 is composed of: rotary disks 11 and 12; and a pair of belt conveyors 30 and 31 and a pair of guide plates 40 and 41 disposed facing each other between the rotary disks 11 and 12 to form a transport path 3 inside whose section is approximately rectangular to accord with the sectional shape of the box A. The box A enters the inside of the transport path 3 when the belt conveyors 30 and 31 are at up-and-down positions, is transported in a state that the up-and-down face is sandwiched by the belt conveyors 30 and 31 while the right and left faces are piloted by the guide plates 40 and 41, and is inverted by the rotation of the rotary drum 7.
