<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curable composition for an optical material exhibiting ≥100°C Tg and without causing deterioration such as discoloration on installing it on a surface, an optical material by using the same composition, a method for producing the optical material and a light-generating diode by using the same material. <P>SOLUTION: This curable composition for the optical material consists of (A) an organic compound having at least 2 carbon-carbon double bonds having reactivity with SiH group in one molecule, (B) a silicon compound having at least 2 SiH groups in one molecule, (C) a hydrosilylation catalyst and (D) a peroxide as essential components. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
