摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control system of an internal combustion engine for a vehicle capable of preventing the operation of the vehicle from being obstructed while sufficiently suppressing the exhaustion of NOx even if urea water added to a urea SCR catalyst is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: In this exhaust emission control system, when the residual amount of urea is lowered to a predetermined amount (S12), it is determined by the residual amount of the predetermined amount of urea whether the vehicle can travel through the distance up to a urea station or not without changing the present operating state of the internal combustion engine (S14, S16). When the vehicle is determined to be able to travel, the present operating state is maintained (S15).
