A method for determining a playlist, comprising the steps of; defining a graph 301 of interconnected nodes (e.g. 300), where each node represents an item (which may be media files such as music tracks, video/audio clips, or images); presenting the graph to a user; receiving user input defining a first route 900 through one or more nodes via the interconnections beginning at an initial node 300 and ending at a terminal node 331; determining a playlist comprising the items associated with each node in the route, ordered according to their position in the route. Further routes may be input to define different playlists and to append or alter existing playlists. The presentation of the graph may be centred on various nodes. Also apparatus (such as a mobile/cell phone or a video games console) and a computer program product for determining a playlist using this method. |
