PURPOSE: A memory controller of a light emitting display device and a control method thereof are provided to prevent data loss by designating compensation data of a single frame from a previous storage block as final compensation data. CONSTITUTION: A frame memory(FM) stores compensation data of a single frame. A backup memory(BM) comprises a plurality of storage blocks. The storage capacity of each storage block is greater than or equal to the storage capacity of the frame memory. A memory controller(MC) receives compensation data of the single frame. The memory controller stores the compensation data of the single frame in a single storage block of the backup memory.
