PURPOSE: A sewage and wastewater treating settling basin for preventing the settling of organic materials is provided to separate organic materials from sewage and wastewater and to further eliminate sand from the organic materials. CONSTITUTION: A sewage and wastewater treating settling basin is composed of a first chamber(2), an organic material separating unit(3), a second chamber(4), a sand collecting and discharging unit(5), and a guiding partition. The first chamber includes a sewage and wastewater inlet(21). The organic material separating unit is composed of a plurality of air nozzles, partition walls and an organic material discharging hole(34). The sand collecting and discharging unit is composed of a rotary scraper, a hopper, a first motor(53), a first transferring screw, and a sand outlet(55). The second chamber includes an outlet(41), and sewage and wastewater with organic materials are discharged through the outlet.
