PURPOSE: A security system using a wireless image transmission system and a security method thereof are provided to simplify an installation process and to reduce an installation cost by removing a direct internet connection. CONSTITUTION: A wireless image transmission system having a security function includes an IP camera, a binary CDMA communication module, a control conversion unit, a voice input/output unit, and a wireless emergency call receiver. A region where the wireless image transfer system is installed is divided into one or more blocks. A binary CDMA communication module of a system in one of the blocks is used as an access point so as to form a security system network in block units.
