A deformation unit (16) is arranged opposite to deformation unit (12) for forming thermoplastic blanks into hollow plastic molding. The deformation units are moved relative to each other by transfer device. A manipulator (34) is retracted into an intermediate space between deformation units. The thermoplastic blanks (14,18) or one of the blanks are supported and/or shaped by auxiliary tool (36). An independent claim is included for method for manufacturing hollow molded plastic structure.
