<p>Electrolysis cell (40) for producing an electrochemically activated sodium chloride solution comprises an anode chamber provided with an anode, and a cathode chamber, which is separated by a membrane (46) and provided with a cathode. The anode exhibits a coating comprising ruthenium oxide and iridium oxide on its surface. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a system for producing an electrochemically activated solution, comprising an electrolysis module with the several electrolysis cells, where the anode chambers of the electrolysis cells are connected in series on the media side, and the surface coating of the anode of each electrolysis cell depends on the position of respective electrolysis cell in the series connection; and (2) producing the electrochemically activated solution, comprising electrolysis of brine-containing water in the system, where the electrolyte is supplied to the cathode chamber of the electrolysis cell in parallel and to the anode chamber of the electrolysis cell in series.</p> |
