PURPOSE: A method for searching and forming a deterministic SAS is provided to offer SAS discovery in an SAS domain. CONSTITUTION: An SMP(Serial Management Protocol) discovery request is transmitted to an expander of an SAS(Serial Attached Small Computer System Interface) domain from a node of the SAS domain(402). The node receives an SMP discovery response answering to the SMP discovery request from the expander(404). A BCR(Broadcast(Change) Received) count provided within the received SMP discovery response is compared with saved BCR count(406). The saved BCR count is updated based on the received BCR count(408).
