<p>The strip, webbing or ribbon comprises bundles of fibres 10 which are laminated or encapsulated in a covering of a non-woven fabric 11 which is preferably then coated or impregnated with a polymer 12, preferably polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or acrylic. The non woven fabric is preferably sewn, adhered or welded (using friction or heater rollers) into position. The preferred nonwoven fabric comprises a blend of different fibre types. The bundles of fibres, for example, yarns or threads of co-extruded fibres with a polyester core and high density polyethylene (HDPE) or PVC may be laid, parallel down the strip, and spaced across the strip.</p> |
