[Also in Division E2] A fork carrier plate 2 is pivotally connected to a support element 1 of a fork lift truck and is non-rotatably secured by the core of an electromagnet on the support element, the core is urged upwardly by a spring to engage in a selected one of a plurality of openings fitted with sleeves 10 in a flange on the carrier plate 2. By energizing the electromagnet the core is depressed and the fork carrier is released and can be driven to rotate about the axis 8 to an angular position in which it is again secured by the electromagnet. The core may be hydraulically operated. |
