HEADER COMPRESSION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR INTERNET PROTOCOL SERVICE OVER TACTICAL DATA LINK

PURPOSE: A header compression system and a method thereof are provided to offer an improved tactic information communication system by compressing only a header of a transport layer and a network layer without correcting a message structure. CONSTITUTION: Link-16 units(201-205) transmit an IP server/client data packet. A gateway(206) supports connection between networks through each Link-16 unit and Link-16 TDMA(Time Division Multiple Access) network(208) with a point-to-multipoint mode. The gateway changes a TDMA protocol into a IP protocol. A router(209) is connected to the gateway. The router routes a data packet from a source IP address to a destination IP address. IP servers(210,211) are connected to the router.
