A label (1) for securely carrying confidential information has a lamina (3) overlying a substrate (5). The substrate (5) includes a first part (7) and a second part (9) that are separable. The first part (7) is located between the lamina (3) and the second part (9) and has areas (11) that are selectively transferrable to the second part (9) when the first and second parts are separated. Information printed on the lamina (3) aligned with areas (11) that transfer to the second part can be distinguished from information printed on the lamina aligned with areas (11) that remain with the first part (7). |
