The device has an editor for displaying and processing of the automation components (node1-node4) communicated through communication links. The automation components communicated through communication links is displayed in logical point of view (LV). The conversion unit is provided for converting the displaying mode of automation components from logical point of view into physical point of view (PV) by considering the predetermined functional properties or technical properties of automation components. An independent claim is included for method for configuring communication links in industrial automation arrangement.
