PURPOSE: A boiler operation control method using a light sensor is provided to prevent the waste of gas by automatically reducing the heat of the heating water supplied to a room heating pipe when detecting sunlight in the day time. CONSTITUTION: A boiler operation control method using a light sensor(11) is as follows. When a boiler is turned on, a CPU(Central Processing Unit,21) of a boiler body(2) receives the output signal of the light sensor installed in a room controller(1) in real time and determines whether the output signal is equal to or greater than a predetermined voltage. If the output signal is equal to or greater than a predetermined voltage, the incidence of sunlight is judged and it is determined whether the room temperature detected by a thermistor(12) of the room controller is lower than the temperature set by a user. If the current room temperature is lower than the set temperature, the tapping temperature of the boiler is gradually increased.
