METHODS OF DEINTERLACING USING GEOMETRIC DUALITY AND IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A de-interlacing method and image processing apparatus thereof are provided to apply weighted values to adjacent pixels of correcting target pixels by using geometrical duplicity. CONSTITUTION: An image processing apparatus determines a local edge direction of a correcting target pixel(S700). The image processing apparatus calculates weighted value based on the determined local edge direction by using geometric duplicity(S710). The image processing apparatus applies the calculated weighted value to the correcting target pixel. The image processing apparatus de-interlaces the correcting target pixels(S720).
