PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for simulating manufacture of a main plate are provided to minimize a cutting surface and a build-up surface and to prevent distortion while manufacturing blocks of a ship. CONSTITUTION: A method for simulating manufacture of a main plate is as follows. By measuring multiple single boards, multiple single board objects are created corresponding to the each single board. The multiple single board objects are aligned based on an diagonal line(S100). The information with respect to the shape aligned the multiple single board objects is outputted(S500).
