PURPOSE: A silicon-containing encapsulant composition is provided to obtain excellent anti-yellowing property and low internal stress in case of using for a solid-phase light emitting device. CONSTITUTION: A silicon-containing encapsulant composition comprises 30-60 weight% of an epoxy resin, 30-60 weight% of an acid anhydride hardener, 0.1-30 weight% of a carbinol siloxane resin forming uniform mixture with the epoxy resin and the acid anhydride hardener, and 0.1-5 weight% of a reactive UV absorber reactive sterically-hindered amine photostabilizer. The epoxy resin is selected from an aromatic epoxy resin, cycloaliphatic epoxy resin, or silicone-modified epoxy resin. The acid anhydride hardener is selected from methyl hexahydrophthalic anhydride or hexahydrophthalic anhydride.
