<p>3 - [4 - (4 - Fluorophenyl) - piperazinomethyl]-indole, a novel compound, is made by reacting N - 4 - fluorophenyl - piperazine with formaldehyde and then reacting the intermediate product with indole. A pharmaceutical composition, useful as an analgesic, comprises the above compound on an inert physiologically acceptable carrier. The composition may take the form of compressed tablets or suppositories.</p> |
