PURPOSE: A terminal positioning system, a method thereof, a wireless LAN apparatus, and an operating method thereof are provided to increases positioning accuracy and to reduce manufacturing costs. CONSTITUTION: A first AP(Access Point)(111) has a predetermined coverage. A second AP(112) has a coverage which is smaller than the first AP coverage. The first AP and the second AP perform local area communication with a terminal. A communication network(120) transfers the first AP and the second AP information as positioning information.
