PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a composition containing DHA- and/or EPA-conjugated phosphatidyl serine using krill phospholipid is provided to improve brain function and to treat vascular dementia. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a composition containing astaxanthin and DHA(docodahexaenoic acid)- and EPA(eicosapantaenoic acid)-conjugated phophatidylserine comprises a step of treating phopholipase D and serine to krill-derived lecithin. The composition contains two or more kinds selected from DHA-conjugated phophatidyl serine, EPA-conjugated phosphatidyl serine, and DHA- and EPA-conjugated phosphatidyl serine. A composition for improving brain function and cognition function contains astaxanthin and phosphatidyl serine.
