A broadcast system and a channel setting method therein are provided. The broadcast system includes a channel searching unit for setting a center frequency for at least one broadcasting channel, and a searching frequency of n-th and (n+1)-th channels according to each center frequency, and storing channel information obtained from broadcast information received through the n-th or (n+1)-th channel when a broadcast signal is detected at the searching frequency. |
