<p>PURPOSE: An out-of-band sensing method in a radio recognition network is provided to reduce energy consumption by performing an out-of-band sensing process in an awake state of a power consumption mode. CONSTITUTION: An STA(STAtion) is divided into an active STA and a PS STA(Power-Save STA). The active STA maintains an awake up state of a transceiver. The PS STA converts a sleep state into an awake state every beacon frame. The PS STA only maintains the awake state in case there is reception data. An 802.11 TVWS system performs a sensing operation in the awake state of the PS STA.</p> |
