Electromagnetic gearbox for transmitting rotary movement between two shafts (B1, B2), comprising several pairs of wheels (A1-A2, A3-A4, â ¦) with different transmission ratios, with, on the periphery of each wheel, electromagnets that can be activated as desired to transmit the movement magnetically. It may include additional magnets (C), making each wheel an electric motor. It may also have additional means for transmitting the movement mechanically, comprising radial pistons, emerging electromagnetically as desired, positioned in a wheel, which interact with radial holes positioned in the other wheel of the pair.
