PURPOSE: A multi-tipping bucket rain gauge is provided to reduce the measuring error of the rain gauge by using multi-tipping buckets. CONSTITUTION: A multi-tipping bucket rain gauge includes a main body(100), a first tipping bucket(210), a second tipping bucket(220), a signal measuring part(300), a first funnel(211), and a second funnel(221). An opened part(101) is formed at the upper side of the main body. The first tipping bucket measures rainfall through the opened part. The capacity of the second tipping bucket is larger than the capacity of the first tipping bucket. The second tipping bucket measures the rainfall through the first tipping bucket. The signal measuring part measures signals from the first tipping bucket and the second tipping bucket. The first funnel is installed between the opened part and the first tipping bucket to collect the rainfall. The second funnel is installed between the first tipping bucket and the second tipping bucket. |
