PURPOSE: A phase change image forming device using ink is provided to reduce a session for preparing a medium by diminishing or extruding a preheating requirement and costs related to an operation of a printer by reducing energy consumption expenses of the printer. CONSTITUTION: A phase change image forming device using ink comprises a medium transfer unit, a movable member, a print head(48), and a converter. The medium transfer unit is composed to transfer a medium along a route. The movable member comprises an image bearing surface(50). The movable member can be moved in the state adjacent to at least a part of the route. The print head is composed to form an ink image on the image bearing surface. The converter is composed to mechanically apply energy toward the route after the ink image is formed on the image bearing surface.
