PURPOSE: A door lock control device and a method thereof in a video phone system are provided to notifying a user about a detached video phone by abnormal event. CONSTITUTION: An outdoor unit(30) supplies a door lock device control signal of an indoor unit(50) to a door lock device(10). The outdoor unit senses abnormal attachment and detachment of the outdoor unit. The outdoor unit supplies the sensed signal to the indoor unit. In case a switching signal for the doorlock device control is inputted, the indoor unit supplies the door lock device control signal to the outside device.
