PURPOSE: A device and a method for setting a path are provided to set an optimized path by using the transmission speed of a link as a metric. CONSTITUTION: A transmission unit(220) floods at least one path request packet with a neighbor node through at least one link. A receiving unit(230) receives at least one path respond packet with at least one path. The path response packet is a response about the path request packet. The path response packet includes the transmission speed of the link as metric. A control unit(240) sets an optimized path with a transmission speed metric.
