PURPOSE: A composition containing pyridylimidazole derivatives for preventing and treating nerve inflammation is provided to use as a therapeutic agent for Alzheimer disease, Parkinson's disease, Huntington disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, multiple sclerosis. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating nerve inflammation contains pyridylimidazole derivative of chemical formula 1 or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient. The pyridylimidazole derivative of chemical formula 1 suppresses TNF-alpha, IL-beta, and iNOS gene expression.
