PURPOSE: A drawbar type imaging platform apparatus is provided to enable a user to safely control an imaging platform apparatus in deep sea by controlling the position of an image acquisition unit. CONSTITUTION: An image acquisition unit(40) is connected with a mother ship. The image acquisition unit acquires the image of a seafloor. A position measurement unit(51) measures the position of the image acquisition unit. A position control unit(53) is connected with the position measurement unit. The position control unit calculates the position value of the image acquisition unit. A position control operating unit(55) operates the position of the image acquisition unit according to the calculated position value.
