COUNTER ROTATING AZIMUTH PROPULSION DIVICE AND SHIP HAVING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An azimuth counter rotating propulsion device and a ship having the same are provided to recover rotating energy of rotary current by arranging a pair of azimuth thrusters to be faced each other. CONSTITUTION: An azimuth counter rotating propulsion device comprises a turntable(12), a first strut(20), a second strut(30), a first pod(22), a second pod(32), a first propeller(24), and a second propeller(34). The turntable is rotatably coupled to the bottom of a hull. One end of the first strut is coupled to the bottom of the turntable. The second strut is located opposite to the first strut around a rotary shaft of the turntable. One end of the second strut is coupled to the bottom of the turntable. The first pod is coupled to the other end of the first strut. The second pod is coupled to the other end of the second strut. The first propeller is coupled to the first pod the second propeller is coupled to the second pod. The second propeller is arranged to face the first propeller and is rotated an opposite direction of the first propeller.
