PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing celecoxib precursor compound is provided to effectively treat or prevent colonic diseases and to reduce side effect. CONSTITUTION: A celecoxib precursor compound is prepared by conjugating glycine, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, succinic acid, or dextran in celecoxib to form a conjugate. The conjugate includes celecoxib-glycine conjugate, celecoxib-1-aspartic acid conjugate, celecoxib-4-aspartic acid conjugate, celecoxib-succinic conjugate, celecoxib-1-aspartic acid-glycine conjugate, celecoxib-1-aspartic acid-succinic acid conjugate, celecoxib-4-aspartic acid-succinic acid conjugate, celecoxib-1-glutamic acid conjugate, celecoxib-5-glutamic acid conjugate, celecoxib-1-glutamic acid-succinic cid conjugate, celecoxib-5-glutamic acid-succinic acid conjugate, or celecoxib-1-glutamic acid-dextric acid conjugate. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating colonic diseases contains the celecoxib precursor compounds as an active ingredient.
