SET-TOP BOX FOR TRANSMITTING REMOTE CONTROLLER COMMAND FROM MICROCONTROLLER TO SYSTEM-ON-CHIP RELIABLY

PURPOSE: A set-top box is provided to reliably transmit a remote controller command from a microcomputer and to supply signal switch between the microcomputer and the SoC. CONSTITUTION: A microcomputer(110) receives an input value from a remote controller(190). The microcomputer encodes the input value. An SoC(System on Chip)(120) receives the encoded input value from the microcomputer. The SoC decodes the encoded input value. The SoC performs a function corresponding to the input value. The microcomputer and the SoC include a UART(Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter). The microcomputer performs communication between the microcomputer and the SoC.
