FIELD: printing. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to printing products protected from counterfeiting, and refers to data media with an optically variable pigment and method of its manufacture. It comprises a protective element having at least one part of the information made in colour contrasting with the media, and one transparent layer applied to at least one of the parts of the information located below it. The protective element contains an information element which is made with structure and a width of lines provided by optically variable pigments, and having a typical width of whitespace elements forming the proper information, from 40 to 200 microns, and the integrated optical density of parts with information value of between 60 and 90% of optical density of colourful items without information. ^ EFFECT: invention enables to improve manufacturability by using a wider range of equipment for application of part of information and a transparent layer while reducing the cost of both the product and the proper protective element with the information element due to use of cheaper printing materials. ^ 9 cl, 2 dwg, 2 ex |
