[Also in Division B5] A sea rescue suit comprises an outer water- and air-tight overall 15 for covering the body apart from the face, a heatinsulating lining (14) (Fig. 3, not shown) of lightweight, thermoplastic synthetic textile fabric and an inflatable collar 5 carried by the outer overall. Air volume equalizing valves 9 of constant setting and an adjustable valve 10 are incorporated in the suit. Foot portions are formed with soles of ridged plastics material, An air- and water-tight sliding clasp fastener 8 on the overall is offset from a centrally disposed sliding clasp fastener (2) on the lining. The head portion of the suit comprises an outer hood 3 with elastic edge 4, an intermediate knitted hood with a neck portion overlapping the neck portion of the body part of the suit and an inner hood knitted of highly elastic polyamide/polyurethane filaments. Suggested material for the overall is woven from synthetic filaments and covered by synthetic rubber or p.v.c. on both sides. The lining is preferably formed from a quilted multi-layer fabric comprising a polyester fibre fleece, with a knitted velour fabric on the body side and a smooth knitted fabric of polyamide filaments on the outside of it. |
