PURPOSE: An electric source cutting off and displaying method for a surge protector secluding the electric power supply using a varistor is provided to separate a plate spring from the surface of a varistor when the varistor is overheated for cutting off the power supply. CONSTITUTION: An electric source cutting off and displaying method for a surge protector comprises the following steps: soldering a plate spring to a heating plate of a varistor for contacting; and melting the soldered portion on the plate spring for separating the plate spring from the varistor. A condition displaying material(140) is combined to the upper side of the plate spring. A condition checking hole(131) is formed on the upper side of a case(130) for the surge protector for users to check the condition displaying material from outside.
