The present invention relates to methods of treating or preventing non-enveloped viral infection and/or disease caused by non-enveloped virus infection, particularly a viral infection caused by rhino virus. The methods comprise administering to an individual in need thereof an effective amount of a defensin peptide. The defensin peptide may be selected from a-, ß-, or ?-defensins.
