This image processing device is provided with: a rotational-shift-quantity calculation unit (22) that calculates the amount of rotational shift with respect to a first image of a second image captured afterwards in time from a first image; a parallel-shift-quantity calculation unit (24) that calculates the amount of parallel shift of a second excised image with respect to a first excised image and that has an excised image generation unit (243) that generates the first excised image by excising a predetermined first range of the first image and performing distortion correction on the basis of the characteristics of the optical system used in imaging, and generates the second excised image by excising a second range corresponding to a first range of a first corrected image wherein the calculated amount of rotational shift is used to correct the positional displacement of the second image in the direction around three axes; and a shift-quantity determination unit (26) that determines the amount of shift of the second image with respect to the first image on the basis of the calculated amount of rotational shift and amount of parallel shift.
