The purpose of the present invention is to improve the definition and decrease the frame width of a display panel in a display device that has input-position detection functionality. The display device in the present invention is provided with: a first substrate (21) on which pixel electrodes (15), which are electrically connected to reference wires (13) via transistors (17), are formed; a second substrate (22) on which data-signal lines (12), which also serve as opposing electrodes (16), and coordinate-detection lines (20) are formed; and a liquid-crystal layer sandwiched between said substrates (21 and 22). The pixel electrodes (15) overlap the data-signal lines (12) with the liquid-crystal layer interposed therebetween, and mutual capacitance occurs between the coordinate-detection lines (20) and the data-signal lines (12).
