PURPOSE: A method for blocking a spam in a VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol) environment using a SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) and a device thereof are provided to efficiently check whether an external call is a spam call. CONSTITUTION: A controller(400) directs switching of a call connection request into a representative Internet terminal. The controller receives the call connection request to the representative Internet terminal from an external terminal. The controller requests the external terminal to input an extension number of an Internet terminal for connecting a call. If the requested extension number is inputted from the external terminal, a call switching unit(402) connects a call between the external terminal and the Internet terminal by the controller.
