PURPOSE: A safety shutdown system is provided to help students to and form school to safely cross a crosswalk without help from parents or teachers. CONSTITUTION: A safety shutdown system(A) comprises a driver's side signal lamp(20), a pedestrian signal light(30), a signal controller(40), and a safety shutdown unit(50). The driver's side signal lamp and pedestrian signal light installed in a pedestrian crossing(10) are composed so that a red traffic signal, a yellow traffic signal, and a blue traffic signal are successively on and off by the signal controller. The safety shutdown unit is composed of a shutdown control unit and crossing shutdown unit. The shutdown control unit is installed in an entrance and exit(11) of the crosswalk. The crossing shutdown unit is connected to a output side of the shutdown control unit.
