The present invention relates to an improved jelly-roll structure, and more particularly, to a jelly-roll and to a secondary battery having same, wherein the jelly-roll is a jelly-roll-type electrode assembly formed as a wound roll with a separation film used so as to separate a positive electrode, including a positive active material coating portion on at least one surface of a positive electrode collector, from a negative electrode, including a negative active material coating portion on at least one surface of a negative collector. During discharge, a positive tab installed upward on an uncoated portion of the positive electrode at a predetermined angle with respect to a lengthwise direction of the positive electrode, and a negative tab installed upward on an uncoated portion of the negative electrode at a predetermined angle with respect to a lengthwise direction of the negative electrode, are disposed adjacent to one another so as to minimize a magnetic field generated by a positive electrode current and a negative electrode current. The positive electrode tab and negative electrode tab are located together on an outer end of the wound jelly-roll.
