Provided are: a fishing-line guide resistant to bending and breaking, the formation of cracks, and the like in a curved connecting section in a boundary region between a leg section and a foot section; and a fishing rod. Said fishing-line guide comprises: a guide ring (6) that forms a threading hole (6A) through which a fishing line is threaded; and a metal guide body (7) that holds said guide ring (6). Said guide body (7) comprises: a holding section (7a) that holds the guide ring (6); a foot section (7c) mounted to the fishing rod; and a leg section (7b) formed between the holding section (7a) and the foot section (7c). A stiffener (8) made from fiber-reinforced resin is applied to a curved connecting section (7d) that connects the leg section (7b) and the foot section (7c).
