UNDERFRAME STRUCTURE OF RAILROAD VEHICLE

Provided is an underframe structure that is of a railroad vehicle and that is able to have a reduced amount of deformation of a lateral beam that supports under-floor equipment in the case of an under-floor fire. The underframe structure of a railroad vehicle is provided with: an underframe (1) having a pair of side beams (2) that extend in the lengthwise direction of the vehicle and a lateral beam (3) that extends in the widthwise direction of the vehicle and is disposed between the side beams (2); a structural floor (4) provided to the upper surface of the underframe (1); and under-floor equipment (10) suspended from the central portion in the widthwise direction of the vehicle of the lateral beam (3). The underframe structure is characterized by being further provided with: a passenger cabin floor (6) that configures the bottom surface of a passenger cabin (S) and that is provided above the structural floor (4); and floor-receiving members (5) that are between the structural floor (4) and the passenger cabin floor (6), extending in the lengthwise direction of the vehicle, and that support the passenger cabin floor (6); and of the floor-receiving members (5), the floor-receiving member (5a) provided to roughly the central section in the widthwise direction of the vehicle is attached to the structural floor (4) in a manner so as to bear at least a portion of the load of the under-floor equipment (10).
