The present invention discloses an air pump which is very compact, light, simple to manufacture, and which has a hose which is either permanently attached or attachable/detachable. Furthermore, the hose used with the pump is poly-urethane and has an outer diameter of 4mm. Furthermore, a head portion includes a PISCO Co. Ltd. PPF4 connector as the attaching/detaching mechanism for the 4mm poly-urethane hose.
