The present invention relates to a refrigerator (1) comprising a body (3) having opposite side walls (2), more than one compartment (5, 105) accessed therein from the front side thereof, at least one shelf (4) separating the compartments (5, 105) from each other. Consequently, the objects placed in the compartment (5) disconnected from the exterior environment are not exposed to a different air temperature each time the refrigerator (1) is opened and energy saving is provided by decreasing heat leakage.
